Each 5 g of sachet contains: Calcium Carbonate 2500 mg, equivalent to Calcium 1000 mg, Colecalciferol 800 IU.

Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics functions of the product

Calcium Carbonate: Calcium is an essential mineral required for the maintenance of the bone health, coagulation of blood, functional integrity of the nervous, cardiac and muscular system. It is also essential for bone growth and development during pregnancy. Calcium controls hormonal secretion such as parathyroid hormone.

Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) is an essential vitamin that promotes the absorption of calcium, decreases the excretion of calcium through the kidneys, Interacts with parathyroid hormone (PTH) and regulates the mobilization of calcium from bone, maintains the normal concentration of calcium and phosphates in plasma.

Dosage and administration

One sachet once a day. Pour directly into mouth, No water required.


Hypercalcemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin D over dosage, renal stones and severe hypercalciuria and hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Patients taking Digoxin who have high blood levels of Digoxin and patients who experience bowel obstruction should consult the physician or your pharmacist before administration.

Side effects

Calcium supplements are well-tolerated, but the higher dosage and long-term use can cause adverse effects. The most common adverse effects are gastrointestinal in nature including belching, flatulence, constipation, stomach upset, anorexia, nausea and vomiting.


Caution to be taken in patients with calcium renal stones, milk-alkali syndrome, myasthenia gravis and achlorhydria. Also, the patients who have cardiovascular and pancreatic disease, kidney disorders and low phosphate blood levels, please consult your physician or pharmacist before use.


The concurrent use of calcium supplements with Quinolones and oral Bisphosphonates may reduce their absorption. Calcium should not be taken with Tetracyclines, Ketoconazole, Dapsone, Nimodipine, Ceftriaxone, Dolutegravir and Elvitegravir. There is an increased risk of hypercalcemia and metabolic alkalosis when used along with thiazide diuretics. Administration of calcium supplements during treatment with antibiotic Gentamycin may increase the potential for toxic effects on the kidney. Patients who use Digoxin and if their blood level of Digoxin is higher than normal, should not take the calcium supplements.
